The AD9129-EBZ is an evaluation board for normal evaluation of AD9129 RF DAC. The AD9129 is a high performance, 14bit RF digital to analog converter (DAC) supporting data rates up to 2.8GSPS. The DAC core is based on a quad switch architecture that enables dual edge clocking operation, effectively increasing the DAC update rate to 5.6GSPS when configured for mix mode or 2× interpolation. A serial peripheral interface (SPI) is used to configure the AD9129 and monitor the status of read back registers. This RF DAC include several features that may further simplify system integration. The AD9129 evaluation board connects to the digital pattern generator (DPG2) to allow for quick evaluation of the AD9129. The DPG2 allows the user to create many types of digital vectors and transmit these at speed to the AD9129 in any of the AD9129 operating modes. The evaluation board is configured over USB with accompanying PC software.
