The EVAL-AD1955EBZ is an evaluation kit to evaluate AD1955 DAC. The AD1955 is a complete, high performance, single chip stereo digital audio playback system comprised of a multibit sigma delta modulator, digital interpolation filters and a continuous time differential current output DAC section. Unique to this audio DAC is the separate SACD (super audio CD) bit stream and external digital filter interface, which allows users maximum system flexibility. The evaluation board must be connected to an external ±12V dc power supply and ground. On board regulators derive 5V and 3.3V supplies for the AD1955 and peripherals. The AD1955 is controlled through an SPI interface. A small external interface board, EVAL-ADUSB2EBZ connects to a PC USB port and provides SPI access to the evaluation board through a ribbon cable. A GUI program is provided for easy programming of the chip in a Microsoft Windows PC environment.
