The EVAL-ADXL343Z is a simple breakout board that enables easy connection of an ADXL343 into an existing system. The ADXL343 is a digital output, 3-axis accelerometer whose low power consumption and built-in features make it ideal for use in a wide variety of applications. Due to its small size, the EVAL-ADXL343Z has minimal effect on performance of the system and of the accelerometer, and thus it is ideal for evaluation of the ADXL343 in an existing system. The ADXL343 must be communicated with digitally via SPI or I2C. No processor is included with the EVAL-ADXL343Z, firmware must be supplied externally by the user. The ADXL343 measures acceleration with high resolution (13bit) measurement at up to ±16g. Digital output data is formatted as 16bit two's complement and is accessible through either an SPI (3 or 4 wire) or I2C digital interface.
Multipurpose accelerometer with 10 to 13bit resolution
Digital output accessible via SPI (3 and 4 wire) and I2C
Built in motion detection to make tap, double-tap activity, inactivity and free-fall detection
user adjustable thresholds
Interrupts independently mappable to two interrupt pins
Low power operation down to 23μA and embedded FIFO
