The ATSHA204-SH-DA-B is a CryptoAuthentication high security hardware authentication device with I2C interface in 8 pin SOIC package. It has flexible command set that allows this device to use for many applications. It includes an EEPROM array that can be used for storage of keys, miscellaneous read/write, read only or secret data consumption logging and security configuration. Access to various sections of memory can be restricted in a variety of ways and configuration then locked to prevent changes. The ATSHA204 has wide array of defensive mechanisms specifically designed to prevent physical attacks on device itself or logical attacks on data transmitted between device and system. It supports standard challenge response protocol to simplify programming.
