The GPRS8000-S MODULE is a ARM based embedded GPS module which allows to connect to Devkit8000 board for GSM/GPRS solution. The Devkit8000's UART (the serial port) from the expansion connector is used to communicate with the GPRS module. GPRS (General Packet Radio Services) is a packet based wireless communication service which is used for various data applications on phones, including wireless Internet (WAP), MMS and software that connects to the Internet. It is an overlay to the GSM network.
