The MAX8808XETA+T is a 1A linear Li+ battery charger with integrated pass FET and thermal regulation in 8 pin TDFN package. This intelligent, standalone constant current/constant-voltage (CCCV), thermally regulated linear charger is designed for charging a single cell lithium-ion (Li+) battery. It integrate current sense circuit, MOS pass element and thermal regulation circuitry and eliminates the reverse blocking schottky diode to create simplest and smallest charging solution for handheld equipment. It functions as a standalone charger to control the charging sequence from prequalification state through fast charge, top-off charge and full charge indication. It achieves high flexibility by providing an adjustable fast charge current with an external resistor. It is used cellular & cordless phones, smartphones & PDAs, digital still cameras & MP3 players, charging cradles & docks USB appliances and Bluetooth equipment.
