The TLV320AIC1106EVMB-K is a complete evaluation/demonstration kit. The TLV320AIC1106 is a PCM codec designed to perform transmit encoding analog to digital (A/D) conversion, receive decoding digital to analog (D/A) conversion, and transmit and receive filtering for voice band communications systems. The TLV320AIC1106 device operates in either the 13bit linear or 8bit companded (μ-law) mode. The PCM codec generates its own internal clocks from a 2.048MHz master clock input. The USB based motherboard called the USB-MODEVM interface board. Provisions are made for connecting all audio inputs and outputs either from the modular connectors or with onboard terminals and external microphone jack. An onboard electric microphone is also provided.
